Nice to be Home

I have had a few days off to be at home. It has been really nice to be able to get caught up some "chores". I got a little behind in January and it's taken me a while to get things done. There is bookkeeping and taxes, house cleaning and dog cleaning (on going), and general organization of stuff. I cleaned out my closet, cleaned up my work room, changed the sheets on the guest bed, scrubbed the bathroom really good. It feels good. I even made some cupcakes and got out my Easter eggs and nests. Believe it or not -- I finally changed the winter collage in my spice cabinet to something more springy. Let me explain 'cuz that sounded funny. There is a blank wall behind my kitchen sink. I have a very small kitchen with little storage. To save space, my father-in-law made a spice cabinet that is mounted on that wall. It's door is a picture frame and I can change what is in the frame whenever I want. This weekend I wanted a change! This is the new display. I am so into eggs and nests this year. Can you tell?

Since I was on a roll, I got out a few more eggy/nesty things. Even if it is still chilly and cold outside, I can feel like it is Spring inside.

Will it ever stop raining and warm up? My daffodils are in suspended animation. They know when it's too cold! It's back to work tomorrow and later this week I need to start working on pieces for the next event at Flourishes. There will more nature-inspired things and maybe... crowns made with "Mothers" in mind! M.

Dear Martha,

Thank you again for the delicious sandwiches you made for us today. So much better than Mc D's. I'm so glad we were able to stop by for a short visit. Your home is so sweet and so you. Hope to see you again soon!

I have a thing for nests and eggs also. I especially love your egg display enclosed in the cloche.

Hi, Martha -

Your Easter decorations are wonderful. You gave me an idea or two for some wonderful marble eggs that need to be displayed better. I think I'll change them today.

Glad you could have a bit of time at home to catch up with yourself.

I love the idea of your spice rack. I've been wondering what I want to do for my spices as we try to finish up the remodel of our little kitchen. You've given me another idea.

Can't wait to see what you have at Flourishes next time. Hope you give us a sneak peek!

Take care, ~Adrienne~
