Summer is Here!

Yep, summer is here.  Hot, sunny days... perfect for working on new projects.  I love being able

to work outside.  I put the warm sun to good use ... aged fabric and paint dries so fast.  It is also a great way to reconnect with the neighborhood.  Dogs and people alike stop by to see what I'm working on.  Some of my four-legged friends stop by daily for a treat and a few pats.  I look forward to it as much as they do!

Summer also means gathering treasures and making new creations for Molly Mo's Summer Antique Faire.   This year's event is scheduled for next Saturday, August 9, at a new location - the Union Hill Grange. We've been busy sewing, building, painting, papering and putting together all sorts of new things! My hubby created the table below using an old, wooden card table for the base and rusty metal panels for the top.  It's a rusty, crusty easy to transport and carry piece of wonderfulness. (If that isn't a word, it should be.)  Love it!

I wish I had taken a before picture (have to start remembering to do that).  This shelf/rack was a sorta-pink bathroom cabinet with plastic doors.  The doors went into the trash and the pink became cream.   We added a few details to create a craft supply storage unit.

The background is a 1930's newspaper.  We kept getting sidetracked reading the fabulous ads! A great addition to any craft room and it comes with all the little goodies too!  Cool beans!!

This cabinet and so much more can be found in our space at Molly Mo's 2014 Summer Antique Faire.  This fabulous Faire is tucked in the countryside just outside of Sublimity.  So worth the trip. Top notch vendors, food, beverages and live music!  Just a little over a week - don't miss it!

This is just a sample.  You've gotta grab your friends, your sweetie, your whatever- jump in the car - better yet - truck, truck with lots of hauling space.  Get there early and stay late.  You won't be disappointed!  See you there!

AND ... Save the Date ... 2014 Halloween Bootique ... Saturday, October 4th!

Witchy, Witchy... Screamy, Screamy...Happy, Happy ... Halloweenie ! M.
