Moon Dance

 

It was pointed out to me that there will be a

full moon next weekend.

What a perfect time for a Moon Dance!

 

 

Imagine dancing under the moonlight with your sweetie

in a field pumpkins.  How magical!

Vintage Halloween Bootique!

Only 12 days away - EEK !!! 

 

 

 Lots and lots to do so you can enjoy

the best vintage collectibles and Halloween whimsies

 to come out of the Vintage Trifles collection.

 

  This year the Bootique will be situated

in the Carriage House at Historic Deepwood Estate. 

You can't find a better venue for a Halloween event:

a lovely, old structure located on a historic

property that is so unique in itself. 

 

 I hope you can make it to either the Early Buying opportunity

on the 28th ($5.00 admission) 

 or come for more fun on the 29th.

A Vintage Flea Market at Historic Deepwood Estate

Historic Deepwood Estate will be presenting a

Vintage Flea Market and Soiree

with co-host Roost Reimagined.

This whimsical event will be held next Friday evening, September 14th, from 5 - 8 p.m.   With a $15.00 admission you will get an Early Buying opportunity, a beverage and the appetizer buffet!  This was a fabulous event last year with almost 200 in attendance.  Did I forget to mention live music by Bohemian Enclave?  I also heard mention of a

certain Mad Hatter frenzying about the evening!! 

Tickets can be purchased in advance through Paypal using the Deepwood link above or by calling 503-363-1825.  Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on Friday evening.

 

On Saturday, September 15th, the Vintage Flea Market will open with FREE ADMISSION from

 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.   Cafe Venae will be on site serving espresso, yummy sweet
treats and lunch selections. 

 

Where do I fit into the picture?  I am one of  a long, long list of fabulous vendors from all over the Willamette Valley.  (See listing below).   This year Deepwood is even opening up the Carriage House and it will be filled to the rafters with treasures! 

You can find me in the south end of the garden

under the "Bird Cage" gazebo.  Look for the illuminated floral lanterns. 

Don't wait -- purchase your tickets today!  Who wouldn't enjoy shopping for unique antiques and collectibles in beautiful Deepwood formal gardens with an Alice in Wonderland twist?!?  Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and maybe even an appearance from Alice herself!

Introducing the 2012 Pumpkins

If you have followed me for a while, you know that each Fall I make a different type of pumpkin.

There have been burlap covered pumpkins, muslin covered pumpkins, cheesecloth covered pumpkins ...  If I liked the look, I covered a pumpkin with it!

 

Over the past year I have created may different things using repurposed books.

I thought why not continue with this theme - it only seems natural to turn a "cake"

into a "pumpkin"!  Natural, right, I know. 

In the '60s, women started folding books to make Christmas trees, angels, Santas, etc.

This crafty trend has re-emerged, I hope, in a more sophisticated form.

 

There is a whole crop of these little cuties filling up my front window seat!

 

They are just one little part of what I have been creating for my

Vintage Halloween Bootique!
