T'was the Night Before Bootique
and the crows were nesting. The wine needed chilling, the meatballs a saucing. Martha and Elf Patty were doing the last pricing. Then suddenly there was a loud bump in the night. Hubby Mark was sneaking a late night "bite". No need for alarm, the pumpkins and pixies are all posed in their places. We are anxious to see your happy faces! So hop on your brooms and head to South Salem where there will be treats, treasures and shopping mayhem! Happy Halloween to all and to all a good fright! M & Elf Patty

Potions, Elixers & Mysterious Stuff: Apothecary Must-Haves
Every gal needs a special, little "bag" of tricks to help out occasionally.
It might be as simple as a bad hair day ...
or the neighbor that mows at 7 am ...
or the "ex".
Regardless, a girl can always use a little
help to get through "those" days.
A little fun, a little whimsy, and a
little good humor thrown in for good measure.
This piece and some smaller versions will be at my
Vintage Halloween Bootique! Mark your calender for
September 30th & Oct 1st. More info on the left.
Lots of fun, surprises and treats - no tricks. I promise!
AND .... don't forget this Friday evening and Saturday
the Vintage Flea Market at
There are 30 area vendors with lots and lots of fabulous merchandise for you to decorate your home and garden. There is even some wonderful jewelry to decorate yourself!
Food, drink, music (Friday evening!) - all in a lovely garden setting.
Don't miss it.
If you would like to attend Friday's Early Buying Soiree, email me for a $5.00 off admission vendor coupon! I can do it - I'm a vendor.
Hope to see you there. M.

Since this has been the Year of the Floozie
and to get things warmed up for the party,
I would like to introduce you to a new acquaintance ...
the Merry Widow!
I haven't chosen a name for this little cutie so I thought
I would open the floor for suggestions from my readers.
Just keep in mind that this floozie is a little witchy
so maybe her name should reflect that side of her... uh ... personality.
She is dressed in a vintage lace camisole, a black feather boa, black & white polka dot bloomers, a black tulle petticoat and button-up boots. Her long black hair is in a fashionable "Gibson Girl" up-do with a "witchy" facinator perched fashionably to one side of her head.
All she needs now is an appropriate name to reflect her enchanting personality! Just leave your suggestion (Keep it clean - this is a family blog.) as a comment on this post by September 7th. On September 8th, I will announce her name to you. The person with the winning submission will receive a little Halloween gift hot out of my workroom. So let's get the Merry Widow a name before she casts a nasty spell.
and ...
I would also like to thank everyone who stopped in my space at Molly Mo's Summer Antique Faire on August 20th. It was a fabulous day and I so enjoyed visiting with you all. Thank you and I hope you enjoy all your treasures.
